Burial

For thousands of years, burial has been a traditional means of caring for the physical remains of a loved one. Historical precedence is one thing, but for you, burial may simply be the tradition of your family. When burial is chosen, your loved one may be:

• Interred in the ground in a regulated cemetery, or if local legislation allows, on private property
• Entombed in a crypt within a mausoleum
• Buried at sea
   

It’s a Deeply Personal Decision

Even if it isn’t what your family has commonly done over the years, there are many personal reasons you may have to choose burial over cremation. These could include:

• Religious or geographical preferences
• You wish to erect a monument in honor of your loved one
• You wish to have a natural location where you can visit, graced with trees and open spaces

Burial Options

In addition to the options below, we offer burial selections designed with your needs and budget in mind.

• Simple Burial Without Services - This includes local transfer to our facility, plain simple casket, filing of burial permit, transportation to local cemetery. No family in attendance ... $1965.
• Simple Burial With Graveside Service - This includes local transfer to our facility, plain simple casket, filing of burial permit, transportation by hearse to local cemetery. Family in attendance for graveside service.
• Simple Burial With Service at Your Place of Worship - This includes local transfer to our facility, plain simple casket (closed) at your place of worship for religious service, filing of burial permit, transportation by hearse to local cemetery. Committal service at cemetery may follow.
• Simple Burial With 2 Hour Visiting at Our Facility - This includes two hour visiting for family and friends prior to burial. Closed, plain simple casket. Service may be scheduled during this period. For additional charge, open casket may be selected.
• Simple Burial With 1 Day Visiting - This includes local transfer to our facility, preparation, dressing and casketing, cosmetology, use of chapel for 1 day, supervision of funeral service and visitation, hearse to local cemetery, register book, and memorial cards. Includes a plain simple casket.

Optional items:

• Selection of a different casket
• Protective vault if selected or required by the cemetery
• Cemetery cost
• The headstone or marker, and any placement fees charged by the cemetery.
• Clergy

You should also know that each cemetery is governed by their own board of directors therefore prices and guidelines differ from one cemetery to the next.
